How to Work From Home and Supplement Your Income By Exploiting Niche Affiliate Marketing

big-niche-profits-for-small-niche-businessesEach and every day more and more people are turning to the internet to make money. The reason for this is simple. The internet has made it very easy for anyone who wants to own and operate their own business to do so, and to do it from practically nothing. With little more than a computer and an internet connection you are in business. How can you be up and running so quickly, by tapping into niche marketing?

Just as there is an old saying that says, “A place for everything and everything in its place”. There is really a market for everything, especially on the internet. Chances are high that if you have an interest in something, even if it is collecting leaves, you can turn that into a very nice supplemental income. This is what is known as niche marketing.
You have known what niche marketing is in your whole life. Growing up collecting baseball cards is a niche market. Vendors that sell baseball cards are really not interested in getting the attention of everyone in the world, just those people that want baseball cards. You can take that niche to the world wide web and find an affiliate product to promote and market to those people and make money.

Why an affiliate product? Simply, it is a product that is already made, you don’t have to worry about creating a product, you do the promotion for it, make a sale and get paid a decent commission. Naturally, commissions vary by products, keep in mind though that the percentage is not as important as the product itself. You want to look for an affiliate product that you would use. Better yet, make sure it is a product that you do use. It is difficult to market something if you don’t really know that much about it. Pamphlets will only tell you so much. Plus the pamphlet could tell you that the product is the next big thing, and it does all of these amazing things and then you get it and it is a complete buzz kill. You try to get in touch with the company for service on it and you find that the customer service department could care less about your complaints. Is that a product or a company that you really want to represent?
With that being said, understand that there is an affiliate product for almost every need so you will have no problems finding a product in the niche you are interested in. Select a product that you use, has helped make your life a little easier and you are excited about. Excitement is key, you want to be able to share that enthusiasm with potential customers. When they see what it has done for you, and how excited you are they will be more inclined to buy from you. Once that happens, they tell their friends and their friends come to you and you have a solid customer base that is going to provide you with long term supplemental income.

Increasing Sales Using Email Marketing

Increasing Sales Using Email Marketing

Not every browser of your niche site will become a buyer but isn’t it a shame that you do not get a second or third chance to convert them. Opt-In Email marketing allows you a chance to convert potential browsers into buyers and allows you to build an ongoing relationship with a customer for future sell, upsell or cross-sell opportunities.

To provide incentive to your customer to give away their email address, capture them with a powerful message and offer them something valuable for free. An example could be the first few chapters of your ebook or a trial version of your custom software.

Once you have captured a potential customer’s email address the real task of farming this contact begins. Following up with each lead individually, multiple times, but at set intervals, and with pre-written messages, will dramatically increase sales! Others who use this same technique confirm that they have all at least doubled the sales of various products! In order to set this system up, though, you need to do some planning.

First, you’ll need to develop your follow up messages. If you’ve been marketing on the Internet for any length of time, then you should already have a first informative letter. Your second letter marks the beginning of the follow up process, and should go into more detail than the first letter. Fill this letter with details that you didn’t have the space to add to the first letter. Stress the BENEFITS of your products or services!

Your next 2-3 follow up messages should be rather short. Include lists of the benefits and potential uses of your products and services. Write each letter so that your prospects can skim the contents, and still see the full force of your message.

The next couple of follow up messages should create a sense of urgency in your prospect’s mind. Make a special offer, giving him a reason to order NOW instead of waiting any longer. After reading these follow up messages, your prospect should want to order immediately!

Phrase each of your final 1 or 2 follow up messages in the form of a question. Ask your prospect why he hasn’t yet placed an order? Try to get him to actually respond. Ask if the price is to high, the product isn’t the right color or doesn’t have the right features, or if he is looking for something else entirely. (By this time, it’s unlikely that this person will order from you. However, his feedback can help you modify your follow up letters or products, so that other prospects will order from you.)

The timing of your follow up letters is just as important as their content. You don’t want one prospect to receive a follow up the day after he gets your initial informative letter, while another prospect waits weeks for a follow up!

Always send an initial, informative letter as soon as it is requested, and send the first follow up 24 hours afterwards. You want your hot prospects to have information quickly, so that they can make informed buying decisions!

Send the next 2-3 follow up messages between 1 and 3 days apart. Your prospect is still hot, and is probably still shopping around! Tell him about the benefits of your products and services, as opposed to your competitors’. You will make the sale!

Send the final follow up messages later on. You certainly don’t want to annoy your prospect! Make sure that these last letters are at least 4 days apart.

Following up effectively seems complicated, but it doesn’t have to be! So many potential customers are lost because of poor follow up – don’t you want to be one of the few to get it right?

Big Niche Profits For Small Niche Businesses

The attraction to niche marketing is fueled by the concept of being a “big fish” in a “small pond” so to speak.  Because small markets are constantly brushed off by big corporations, it creates the perfect opportunity for small businesses to target those specific audiences, whether it be geographically or demographically.

In turn, having the ability to swoop down and snag these overlooked groups can make even the tiniest business seem larger than life – especially to those who share the same targeted interests.

It’s important to remember that each sub market is just as unique as the consumers who frequent within.  Once you’ve identified what appeals to them, it is your job to take position and allow them to be “attracted” to your product or service through the natural course of curiosity.

Knowing who your product appeals to is one of the most important elements to niche marketing effectively.  If you’re niche marketing on the Internet (which I pray that you are) then you should also consider what keywords your market is using when they search within your niche.  Knowing these factors will allow you to target certain products you offer to specific segments within the niche – and it’s sniper-like tactics like this that make your client’s wallet sizzle because you have exactly what they are looking for.

As a niche marketer you should think of yourself as a surgeon who frequently cuts open the larger market sectors and operates until all the voids are sewn up.  It’s your job to fill these voids and monetize these avenues of forgotten traffic.

Despite the market being small, you will appear god-like because you always seem to have what your audience needs – keeping them satisfied and your bank account fruitful.
